Being Authentic

It’s been a strange time over the past few months; lots of changes in the workplace, sad news about a few colleagues, feeling ill off and on for weeks, having bouts of being worried about the future, angry about the past and a general feeling of being discontent

Now I’m in a much better place having got out of the feeling of my thoughts and back into taking action. Back into having a focus on what’s actually within my control and not worrying about what isn’t. Not making decisions when I’m caught up in my thoughts but waiting to get out of my own way and having a focus on the present rather than the future

The biggest change has been realising that I’ve not been authentic to what it is I really want to be doing with my work and life; that’s the root cause of feeling discontent. Doing things that I think other people will want work wise rather than what I really want to be doing

With this is mind I’ll be making some changes to the direction of what I offer through Ronn Thwaites Photography and the direction of what I’ll be blogging about. Some people will like the changes and others won’t but the most important thing is that it will be coming from a place of being authentic

In the meantime here’s some images from my recent ‘One Camera One Lens’ sessions

  1. I for one will be eagerly awaiting your new posts. I also admire how you know to feel your feelings and wait for them to pass before taking action.

I’m sorry to hear that some of your colleagues have also had their struggles. I hope that your attitude rubs off on them.

    Deep respect to you Ronn.
