Getting back into Street Photography

Recently I’ve been getting back into my street photography and trying to capture more people in my images. I have a tendancy to concentrate more on the buildings in my environments which means I often miss out on some interesting opportunities to shoot people

As a confirmed introvert I find being around people actually drains me so my photography has a tendancy to ignore them! Taking a more mindful approach allows me to observe how people interact with the environment I share with them and using Psychogeograpy principles it’s interesting to see how certain places draw people in or push them away

Here’s some images from a recent street photography session where these principles were put into practice

  1. “furry person” photograph is superb….so much going on to look at. People coming and going….fashion clothes and the grate and foreign object on the footpath. Once again I totally understand your sentiments about street photography.
