Is it really street photography?

Had an interesting conversation with a fellow photographer recently about what I call the type of photography I do

At first I said it was street photography but on reflection I said perhaps urban landscape photography was a better description or perhaps even architectural photography; by the end of the conversation we were both confused and none the wiser about what to call it!

It’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot recently as I’m aware that whilst I do take some ‘traditional’ street photography photos not many of my images actually feature people in them as it’s always the urban spaces and the buildings, places and things that I come across that I find more interesting

Perhaps ‘Urban Landscape Photography’ or ‘Urban Photography’ would be a better description to give to people when they ask?

Be really interested in what other people think about this especially if you’ve had the same thought about your own photography
