the flow of photography

Last Sunday I wasn’t being that focused or mindful during my usual urban wildlife photography session at a local park. I was missing shots, scaring everything away and generally not on my game. My mind was on other things which always results in me not being fully present on what I’m doing

Everything felt forced rather than flowing and the session just wasn’t happening for me

I decided to have a break, sit down on a fallen tree and just become aware of all of the things I could hear, see, smell and sense. Rather than worrying about other things or taking photos I just allowed myself to become absorbed into the natural flow of my surroundings

Once I felt back on track I started the session again and found a beautiful little Robin who wasn’t bothered by my presence at all

Here’s a few images that I got before it flew off to go about it’s business
