Prime Lenses and Remote Shooting

Had a frustrating morning trying to get shots of herons recently with my zoom lens; they were so alert that the slightest movement sent them off into the air! This lens also doesn’t have great low light capacity so this also proved to be adding to my failure

What I’ve decided to do is to experiment with placing the camera down with various prime lenses and using the remote live view shooting feature on my phone. This would mean not having to use large zoom lenses and let me get my shots without keep disturbing the birds as they go about their business

First experimental session will take place on Sunday and will post results then
