Experimenting with a Wide Angle Lens

Really enjoying experimenting with a wide angle lens for my sessions at the moment. I know it’s not the usual approach to wildlife photography but the results from using the Canon EF-M 22 mm f/2 STM Lens on my M50 are really promising

The lens makes the set up extremely compact which lets me position it and conceal it really easily. The field of view can also be interesting and the low light performance is excellence giving me lots of scope to set up shots

Going forwards my plan is to stick with this set up for a few months to really get to grips with it and develop my knowledge of using this type of lens and approach to urban wildlife photography

Here’s an example from using this lens during a recent sessions
