The Cinnabar Moth

On some recent walks to the shops I’ve noticed a few Cinnabar Moths (Tyria jacobaeae) sunning themselves on a large retaining wall. These lovely creatures are a day flying moth which have orange and black caterpillars that feed on Ragwort

The bright colours of the caterpillars warn other creatures to leave it alone as Ragwort is actually poisonous
