Cats and Street Photography

It’s been a long time since my last post and like a lot of people this current pandemic has given me a lot of time to think about things

My experiments with wildlife photography were fun but I discovered it wasn’t what I really wanted to be doing. I found I was going out less and less and wasn’t really interested in the creatures that were available in my location

I started back doing more traditional street photography but found my mojo had also gone in this area; I just couldn’t find the motivation to photograph people and places like I once did

What I did discover, however, was an idea I”d had back many months ago about giving pet photography a try was still smouldering away so I decided to try an experiment to get started. Instead of traditional street photography I started to photograph the cats I came across during my daily walks and also did some sessions with friends cats

Having always had a love of felines and a certain way of being able to make them at ease around me it made perfect sense to concentrate my efforts in this area and I’m pleased to say my mojo for getting out everyday has returned

I hope you’ll enjoy this new direction and share the journey with me

  1. I did for a few years street photography and at the beginning it was fun but eventually I became very bored. Then I was introduced to wildlife photography that became my true passion.
Ronn, I will follow your new journey! Do what inspire you the most!
I love these cats, they are wonderful!
